Peggy’s Cove & Halifax

6 reviews
Why not combine our two most popular tours into one? See the sights of the historic port city of Halifax and then take in the famous breathtaking sights of Peggy's Cove.

Our tour would commence from Pier 21 with its Historic block as the "Ellis Island" of Canada, where more than one million immigrants came through and more than 500,000 left from during WWII.

From there we will visit St. Paul's Church, the oldest Anglican church in Canada. As well, St. Paul's Church was among some of the buildings that withstood the Great Halifax Explosion of 1917. We will drive on to Fort Needham Hill where a memorial carillon was built for the victims of that explosion. Then we'll be on to Canada's most famous lighthouse.

Peggy's Cove is one of the most unique, captivating and exhilarating eye-openers in Nova Scotia. The quaint seaside hamlets of Shad Bay, Big Lake, East Dover and West Dover, to mention but a few, are also breathtaking.

I’ve been on many distillery tours, and this was by far the best! The presenter was interesting, provided lots of information both about the history of the alcohols and the distillery itself. Highly recommend.

Dropped into this sweet spot and had a drink with the cool bartender. It's off the beaten track of too touristy downtown Halifax and fresh and interesting. The bar looks over the actual distillery and everything is made on site. Upstairs there's even an Airbnb. Good bar snacks and nice restaurants across the street. Worth visiting.

Not busy on a Thursday afternoon, got extra attention. Did a flight and my wife had a bees knees. She thought it was excellent. Neat classy place, kinda different from the funky neighbourhood, great service. Good spirits, especially the gin.

Such a well done space it drew me in, even though I do not drink spirits very much. The cocktails were so good and the bar tender was fab, we went back twice before we ended our vacation. If you are wandering along Agricola, stop in!
