A wonderful day with new found friends in Halifax. Arrived on the Sapphire Princess cruise ship to find Darrell our guide waiting for us. He took us all around Halifax pointing out areas of interest and how the area had changed. We even saw 5 deer all together in the park. We then travelled out to Peggy's Cove, met a gentleman who I believe was called Ivan Fraser who writes books about Peggy and the Cove. He was a wonderful friendly person and a pleasure to listen to. We then went off to meet some lobsters, live ones, as I had never actually seen one. Seems I have led a sheltered life. I thought they were brilliant. We then headed out and about the area viewing the fabulous scenery. It appeared Darrell knew everyone and we were greeted well by everyone we met. Since meeting the lobsters I decided that the lobster roll was out so good old fish and chips were had at a small restaurant which were delicious. We then headed back and our final stop was at the Titanic Memorial. Darrell was very knowledgeable about the history of the memorial. So 7 hours later we arrived back at the ship tired and happy. Darrell Downey is personable, knowledgeable, reliable, and a lot of fun. Took his tour May 29, 2019 and it was a great tour. A little off-the-beaten path of most tours but that's what makes it great. As I said, if you can only take one tour, this is the one to take. 5 Star is definitely the right name.…

Darrell Downey is an excellent tour guide, informative and entertaining. Our 5 hour tour flew by without us noticing it. He provided historical facts with an earthy, entertaining twist. We had a good laugh at the extra tit bits he added to his factual details. When in Halifax, call Darrell for a tour that is well worth the time and money.…
