Crazy inclines, insane down hill, curves, large stretches of potholes with a little asphalt intermixed, 50kph much of the drive, terrible wear and tear on your brakes. You pay to drive through the park. The East side road is better than the West. I would...More

We did the Skyline Trail which is spectacular. - one can take the 7km straight in and out trail or add a loop for another 2km. We passed someone who said he had seen a moose-we did not get a glimpse of it but they...More

The Cabot Trail is the most beautiful scenery in Canada. This is not to be missed. The drive is good — one must be careful not to speed around the twists and turns for obvious reasons. Some construction but not too many delays. There is...More

Wildlife abounds. Pull-offs are many. Views are spectacular - similar or better than New Zealand. Drove from Baddeck to Cheticamp. The air is so clear you feel you can touch the bears and the trees on the hill opposite your pull-off. There is nothing left...More

We travelled the Cabot trail in June and despite the cool temperatures we had a great time. We walked the Skyline Trail viewing moose in their natural habitant. The trail itself is easy to manage with small children and the views of the ocean and...More

It was an interesting place to visit. Some of the views were amazing. It would be better to visit in the fall when the leaves are turning colours.

For the driving enthusiast, this trail is nothing short of fun. We came on a gloomy cold day with scattered showers and had very little traffic and relatively dry roads! Hit about 5 construction zones that requires you to follow the leader, but not enough...More

We left Sydney around 8:00 am and had an amazing day from to ocean to the top of the mountains an incredible view at almost every turn. A fun stop was at the Wreck cove general store where we met some really great people. We...More

This drive is so much more than the postcard pictures of the winding road on the mountainsides. That is only the west side of the trail. There is also a breathtaking climb or descent (depending on direction) midway, and other lovely vistas. Even on the...More

We planned our own itinerary and hired a hiking guide. She did the accommodations bookings, arranged the logistics and did all driving. We just enjoyed the hikes and the sceneries. The most relaxing holidays ever.

It will be quite chilly. But I think the trails should still be accessible if hiking is your thing. You may also have a good chance of seeing moose and deer (be careful)! We stayed in Baddeck and we took one day to... More
