Go back almost 300 years and see how the first settlers to this area lived. The re-creation is authentic and worth the visit.

What a quiet way to stroll through history. Make sure you bring your camera and wear comfy shoes .You will want to walk and not miss the wonderful sights.We will be back for sure.

This park is an important component to understanding the history of the area. It is also the first restoration/recreation of the parks system, I think back in the late 1940s or early 50s. The staff is expert and engaging, and the setting is magnificent.
