Not an inexpensive place to visit $28 for the two of us) but you can certainly see that a lot of work goes into maintenance. If you love winding pathways, a few bridges, some stairs and lots of varieties of greenery and flowers, then this...More

We spent a very pleasant Sunday morning wandering the Royal historic gardens in Annapolis Royal. Takes about an hour and half to wander the full site, more if you take the paths to the dykes. Interspersed with art is an interesting twist and we really...More

Great variety, colour and vibrancy - we really enjoyed our walk through its shady walkways. You can tell it's tended with loving care and great skill and experience.

Good selection of healthy plants. It wasn't over manicured. Great historical and contemporary planting concepts. The salt marsh walk was a highlight, where we saw deer and birdlife. It has certainly provided inspiration for our garden at home. Good parking available and a very short...More

A must see while in Annapolis Royal. Not a large garden but well laid out and many plants in bloom during our visit. Unfortunately the large rose garden plants do not bloom until late June. A pleasant stroll through gardens takes out an hour.

I would recommend going later in the summer, as most of the flowering plants and the rose labyrinth weren't yet in bloom, but it was a nice walk. The $14.95 per person fee was a bit outrageous, I thought.

Loved it, have taken back some good ideas to Australia. Would have loved to have been there in summer and seen the roses in bloom. Beautiful bumble bees in the rhododendrons an amazing sight. Also great ideas about vegie growing in winter.
