I have been to Annapolis Royal many times, but even though I am an avid gardener, I never stopped at the Historic Gardens. I travel in the late fall, when gardens are past their prime, so I didn't think it would be worth a visit....More

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon in these gardens. Well laid out and varied. We left to go out for lunch and then returned to finish our visit. Well worth going to if you are interested in plants.

Did the 1.5 hour garden tour, generally covering all parts of the garden. Very informative and knowledgeable volunteers that gave the tour. It's amazing what can be grown in this micro climate. Would love to come back when the rhododendrons are in bloom.

Impressed with the dedicated staff, variety of specimens attention to detail and maintenance of the properties. Even though it doesn't need to have a flower to be beautiful, there are plenty of blooms to see , even in early fall. Don't miss it!!

Wonderful gardens that take about an hour or more to walk around. There was still many flowers in bloom in late September …...the grounds are beautifully kept, don't rush and smell the roses. There are mobility devices if one is needed, the paths are all...More
