Beautiful building! Provides the perfect relaxing environment to study/curl up with a book! Especially with the fireplace in the winter! And if you are looking to be outdoors, the gardens are just as inviting!

The tour of the botanical gardens was amazing. I never realized how much was being done here. I have been to Acadia University many times since this complex was opened but never toured it. This tour was one of the events at our Class's 50th...More

This lovely spot is quiet and relaxing and, as other reviewers have mentioned, not heavy on flowers. For us, the real treasure was its Medicinal Garden. Its rows of native and nonnative plants offer a rare chance to see the plants that produce both familiar...More

This is part of the beautiful Acadian University campus and is free to visit. It's important that if you are expecting Gardens like say In Halifax or Montreal ..... you will be disappointed most likely. That's not to say that the gardens aren't beautiful -...More

Thank you for your review capmc. So glad you enjoyed your 'quiet time' in the gardens. The songbirds are quite lovely to listen to when one pauses to observe the diversity of garden beauty. Hope that you can visit, again, soon.

Thank you for your feedback. As the Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens is focused on the native plants of the Acadian Forest Region, it is not considered a 'showy' garden but rather one that conserves the natural beauty of the nine habitats within the region. It's...More
