Ideally located with beautiful scenery (minus the sight of the penitentiary.) Level walking surface, with an adult play ground located adjacent to it - which is perfect for the outdoor athletic type. Wonderful experience to walk around the lake in the summer, with the nice breeze coming off the lake. Only downfall is there is a problem with litter scattered... More

This is a short (about 3km) circular trail around Quidi Vidi lake. It's a pleasant, easy walk, but you'll see very few ocean or scenic views from here. There are picnic tables, a dog park, and a playground for families. There is a large grocery store at one end where you can buy picnic foods. If you are visiting St.... More

Following several days of rain and colder temperatures, this morning was just the perfect morning to take a stroll around the Pond.  The trail, expect for the tiny gradual up near the Dam, is flat and well groomed, either walking stone or wood.  Lots of folks were taking advantage of the beautiful fall morning to 'wake up the ducks' as... A flat and easy to manage walk. It's great for an afternoon or morning stroll with plenty of places to stop and just enjoy the view.

If one must work off all a night of sociializing in St. John's hiking this trail will help clear your head. The path is well maintained and well used by strollers and joggers. Almost everyone says hello.

This is where the annual Regatta is held every year . It's a wonderful place to walk there's a trail that circles the lake ...about 4 km long.

We parked our car in a parking lot along the trail and started walking. We enjoyed the scenery, local parks and monuments along the way, and got some great exercise on an easy although not short trail.

We were very disappointed. Nothing was open when we went. It was a very picturesque little village and we took some pictures but even the brewery only offered tours every few hours and did not have a tasting room. We could not reach the restaurant to make a reservation so we headed back into town.

A great walk around Quidi Vidi Lake with side paths along a "history walk" adding interest and diversity to the lakeside. Add Quidi Vidi village to the walk and there is a good half day spent.
