Took taxi up the hill and walked down leasurely. Well preserved area with great explanations. Must do when in St. John!

See my review on Cape Spear for my incredulous comments on Parks Canada not extending hours for sites during Canada 150. That said, Signal Hill is worth a visit as the view and scenery are stunning. Cabot tower has an interesting exhibit on Marconi as...More
Hike right from downtown St. John's is highly recommended - it's not too difficult, bring water and dress in layers with good shoes. Views are amazing, great to stop and just absorb the true beauty of this place. Abundance of blueberry's all over the hill,...More
Good place to brush up on history and great views of the Narrows, and the city. Looking toward Cape Spear in June, you may just be lucky enough to spy a few icebergs and whales, if you came by car, continue to Cape Spear, stop...More

Fantastic view of the harbor and a chance to learn the history of the town without taking a tour bus. Hiking trail below the building is not to be missed.
Our stop at Signal Hill was very short as it was windy and foggy and chilly. Another visitor asked if we had our lead boots on :))) its is a site to see.
