You have to visit Signal Hill in St John’s. Amazing view. The ocean and St John’s harbour. Not much can compete against this beautiful site. Don’t miss it.

Must see in St Johns
Sep 2021 • Couples
The views from here are fantastic. The weather changes so quickly you need to get there on a clear day to see the harbour. There is only a gift shop inside but the views in and around the tower are a must see when in St John’s. There is a small visitor centre on the way

a Must See experience in St. John's
Aug 2021
We were in St. John's in August and our hotel was actually within walking distance of Signal Hill, but we chose to drive there since there would be plenty of walking. We spent 3 hours here, first seeing the sights on the way up to the top, and then taking the hike around the whole area. Spectacular views (before the fog rolled in!) and an amazing walk. The trail is well maintained, though a teeny bit scary near the end if you don't like heights! There was a chain attached to the rock wall at this point to grasp - and it was fine - I just didn't look down at that point. We were happy to do the walk from the top and around to the street below Signal Hill and not have to traverse the steps upward to the top of Signal Hill.

The views are beautiful and utterly unique to Newfoundland
Aug 2021
There are many moderately easy hiking trails on the Island of Newfoundland but if you are visiting St. John's, this is easily accessible and gives you a taste of what you can see from the Skerwink Trail in Trinity Bay or the incomparable scenery of Gros Morne.

A geat 360 degree panoramic view of St. John's and Atlantic Ocen

We dropped by late afternoon so was bit chilly and very windy. Mostly strolled around only and didn't do any hikes due to time we arrived. Neary Cabot Tower is a must see too but they were closed due to covid this season.

Great scenery and photos
Aug 2021
Excellent views from the top, and beautiful trails to take in around the site. Can be windy at the top, and views can be obstructed due to fog. The actual Tower and Visitor Centre close earlier (about 5PM I think).

Great views of the city skyline and the coastal areas around the hill. Highly recommend.
