I had looked forward to going to this museum with my fireman husband but to our dismay, the museum was closed. While walking, we noticed an active firehouse around the block and inquired about the museum. The firefighters there said they open the museum during the summer "for children" but that it had been closed for a couple months. The... More

This is a small but amazing museum the tour guides are helpful and knowledgeable, they were able to answer all my questions. There is two floors, a old fire truck which they let us sit in! There is also a old hand pump. The stories they tell are fascinating! I would definitely recommend this museum to everyone!

Like many small museums, this one is run by volunteers. If you are interested in the fire service and it's history, you'll enjoy this 1840's fire station complete with equipment and other artifacts. Unfortunately it's only open week days in the summer time.

My eight year old girls and I loved this place. The guide kicked off a great tour by inviting us all to climb up into fire engine 771 for a photo op. Then there was a slide down the fire pole (adjusted to a reasonable height for children). The guide gave an informative tour about the history of firefighting in... More

This is a 2 floor museum converted from Canada's oldest fire station. It has artifacts from all eras of firefighting as well as from the great Saint John fire of 1877. It's employees are summer students, many of whom are relatives of fire fighters and have a feel and passion for the subject matter. The Saint John Firefighter's museum offers... More

This museum has various types of firefighting equipment inside and is run by volunteers. It covers two floors and includes photos of fightfighters and their various commendations. There's also a fireman's pole, probably for use by children.
