We decided to do a quick trip on the ferry. We had never been on the new ferry and we were pleasantly surprised. It's nice and the staff is very pleasant. We realize it's not tourist season so not all ammenities were available, but that was ok. We'll be back.

The new shop is very comfortable, large and expansive. Restaurant and bar. Quick crossing, friendly staff. Not cheap though, but a lot quicker than driving around. You can cancel your reservation right up to sailing time, so reservations are a good idea.

When you reserve with Bay Ferries, they take lots of contact information: email address, home phone, and cell phone. If a crossing is cancelled because of weather, though, don't count on getting any notification before you arrive at the terminal. No notice on the website until long after you've left home, no recording on their phone line, no notice by... More

The ferry was large and comfortable. Restrooms were clean. The lounge was large and overlooked the front of the ferry and was quite comfortable. There is a Starbucks on board as well as a restaurant. For a ferry it is quite nice.

We took the ferry from St. John to Digby in early June. I initially reserved a morning crossing, but changed our reservation to the afternoon so that we would have time to explore St. John. (Customer service was helpful both with the initial reservation and the time change). Choosing the afternoon trip turned out to be a great bit of... More

We took the ferry from Saint John over to Digby to start our trip through NS. We saved lots of time having to take the ferry for only 2 hours vice a 6 plus hour drive around. The ferry is quick on loading and offloading at each end so that's very convenient. Lots of room on board to walk around... More

We like the ferry because it is less stressful than driving. The ferry is big with lots of places to sit. A couple of areas have movies and there is a lounge area. I did not find an easy way to know what movie was playing in each place and would have preferred a quiet are where we could sleep... More

We spent the night before at a beautiful motel in Digby. After a lovely breakfast- we drove to the loading area for the ferry. We had pre-booked our tickets- so after a brief wait- we drove onboard. After leaving our car- we explored the ship & found several nice outdoor areas with terrific views of the Bay of Fundy- even... More

As requested we got to the area an hour before leaving. We went on board with the car and the ferry left right on time. I was surprised at the size of the ferry but I guess in high season it accommodates much more people ... I almost had the whole floor to myself :) The ferry has sandwiches, breakfast... More
