The one thing I forgot to add is that Crankworx takes up portions of the mark for late July and most of August. I hear most of the park is actually empty because everyone is watching the events but the village will be a zoo, lodging prices will be way up and restaurants will have longer waits when Crankworx is actually going on. I believe that was August 9-19 this year. We were there in mid-late July while they were building some of the structures so the crowds hadn’t arrived yet.

Thank you for you question.
The Bike Park is typically open from the middle of May to the start of October. If you visit before September you benefit from lighter days and longer hours of operation. You can visit the Bike Park Hours of Operation section on our website for further information. It's possible in May that some trails may be closed due to snow and some lifts are closed until the middle of June. August is typically busy due to events like Crankworx with lots of bikers in town. Some people like to visit during this time for that reason as there is lots to see and do. I hope this helps you with your decision. We look forward to welcoming you on the mountain.
Sincerely, Whistler Blackcomb.
