A long-time favourite among hikers and mountain bikers, Train Wreck features graffiti train cars and spectacular views of Cheakamus River. The trail was built many decades ago. The Resort Municipality of Whistler's new pedestrian bridge creates a safe, legal access point. The bridge connects Train Wreck to the Sea to Sky trail, which is part of the Trans Canada Trail. Associated trail connections have also been built on either side of the bridge. The Train Wreck suspension bridge can be accessed off Jane Lakes Road in the Cheakamus Crossing neighbourhood at the south end of Whistler from two locations: the multi-use singletrack "Trash" trail or the double track Sea to Sky trail

Great hike/walk. Once we found the trail head ( new one) it was easy and beautiful. Ask a local for directions! We looked online and directions were vague and confusing. Amazing path through the forest to a cool suspension bridge and then to the train...More

This is a nice hike to get to that is not flat but not terribly difficult either there is also a nice cable bridge to cross. Trail is well maintained and train cars are so interesting. Great photo op.

Nice, easy hike in the woods to grafitti rail cars. Fascinating art work cover the many cars that make up this "train wreck". Well worth the hike.

The train wreck site is an easy hike but can be a bit hard to find. The train wreck parking area has a blocked road leading from it but the actual trail is part of another trail before you get to the parking area. Ther...More

The bridge is awesome, the trail is easy and the art on the cars a delight. While is appears a little hard to find on the map, once you get there you can enjoy the history of the derailment and see the graffiti on the...More

This was definitely worth the visit! Would recommend taking time to walk and see the trains. Excellent graffiti and the walk down is very well maintained and the suspension bridge was a bonus. Take the time to go!

This place is amazing! We wanted to find an unusual place for our daughters 17th birthday and this did not disappoint. It is a little tricky to find the parking - many websites suggest parking at the Whistler Interpretive Forest but when we did this...More

This combines a nice hike (about 15 minutes) with a unique destination - our whole family loved it. My 80-year old mother needed some help on the hike back out, but not much. You walk over a cool suspension bridge right before the wreck. The...More

I would not recommend a stroller. It is the woods so not a very smooth road.
