On a beautiful sunny day, we were lucky enough to come across the last market of the season. Lots of stalls with artisans showing off all manner of creations and happy to chat. Plenty of places to eat and drink too.

Very busy Irish Pub on the corner and a great thoroughfare down to the waterfront where there are numerous restaurants and pubs. Well lit at night and quite a number of old buildings.

The craft street vendors were the best shopping in town. The weekend attracted more vendors and more people to this place, which made it more fun and interesting. There are lots of pubs and restaurants nearby, making this a great destination on your Victoria BC...More

Some days they have a market area with locals selling food and craft items. At night there is usually a musical group entertaining the tourists.

This is the site of old Fort Victoria that used to be a jail, gallows and brothel...and is now full of restaurants, boutique shops and a summer market with local artists.

No visit to Victoria could be complete without a stroll through the Bastion Square market. Local artisans showing all sorts of unique wares, from jewellery to clothing and from art to pottery. Took me forever to see all that there was to see here.

Right in downtown Victoria, Bastion Square has long been a center of good restaurants and lively nightlife. I remember it back in the 1970s...what is nice is that it consistently keeps up with the times. Young people seem to still enjoy it.
