Our cruise stopped at Victoria for about 4 hours. Government Street was about a half hour's walk from the port. Good place to get a drink and pick up souvenirs.

It's a typical downtown shopping experience, tons of shops and restaurants. Worth a stroll. Pay for parking downtown.

The ambiance of Government Street in Victoria is magical. Take a stroll and enjoy being surrounded by such beauty. People are everywhere and everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful.

Tourist area with a bit of everything, history, food, shopping, easy access for tours. It's the main drag and gathering location for buses, horse drawn carriages and local activity.

The only time I shop is on vacation! There was good variety of items from tourist stuff to normal items. Munro's bookstore is wonderful. I was directed to the BC section and found some really interesting books.
