Checked this place out after hotel concierge said it was a good shopping spot. Didn't find that much worth traveling there for and the traffic was super heavy.

Kerrisdale is one of the few locations left with free parking and a great variety of shops. I personally enjoy the community centre there. I use the gym daily.

I was born and bred in Kerrisdale and must say that though it has changed a lot since my childhood it is the same lively upbeat feel to it! Some fabulous new shops and coffee places...

Kerrisdale is a small area with small stores and restaurants mostly. I enjoy going to the Kerrisdale community center to exercise. It's well equipped and meets my needs.

a lovely area on the West side of Vancouver, this one is more of a neighbourhood shopping and meeting area. Very nice.

Apart from some of the higher than average prices and location (home to people with an above average income for the most part), there is not much to draw people here, in my opinion. There are way more beautiful sights to see in Vancouver, with much more interesting ambience. I wouldn't go out of my way to go to Kerrisdale.

Staying in Kerrisdale

Neighbourhood Profile
Kerrisdale
Kerrisdale is Vancouver's laid-back shopping district. In contrast to Robson Street, there is more on offer, at more competitive pricing and a slower pace. Called "The Village" colloquially, over 200 storefronts and one-off shops crowd its streets with products and services. It is set in a comparatively sleepy part of town, with tasteful homes and tree-lined walks. Many of its buildings are listed on the Heritage registry, making it a wonderful place to amble and take in the visual history. Moreover, Kerrisdale's healthy consumer culture is especially apt for those interested in culinary, specialty, or children's shops, boasting more of these than anywhere else, meaning that it's a busy spot for families and hobbyists on the weekends.
