In preparation for our mini staycation, my partner and I decided to play the ultimate tourist and book the FlyOver Iceland and FlyOver Canada double feature. Without getting overly wordy, I’ll just say we enjoyed it very much. Taken together, both FlyOver experiences exceeded our expectations! To access FlyOver Canada @ Canada Place, you first have to walk the “Canada Trail” and then up a number of flights of stairs. After checking in, we waited in line for the pre-show video experience. Here, guests enter a room that features a “surround theatre,” which incorporates both 2D and 3D imaging. In our case, it was a brief introduction to Iceland. I’ll be honest – at first I thought this video represented the “FlyOver” experience and I was feeling pretty underwhelmed. As I told my partner, “I’ve seen better quality video in the early 90s in Las Vegas!” Thankfully, though, I was wrong in my assumption and we were led to the main event. Here, we were brought to our seats, given a quick safety briefing and then left to our “FlyOver” experiences. FlyOver Iceland was absolutely amazing. It’s a part of the world I’ve always wanted to visit and, thanks to this experience, I actually feel as though I’ve been there. Climbing the glacial peaks, diving into crevices, soaring past Hallgrimskirkja, and immersing oneself in the Aurora are all part of the Icelandic experience and FlyOver captures it well. Add to this the fact that you’re lifted (and tilted) in your seat, encountering mist, wind and scents of place and you’re left with an absolute winner. All my partner and I could say after this awesome experience was “WOW!” When it came to the FlyOver Canada experience, it was beautiful – highlighting a lot of Canada’s natural beauty and cityscapes in crisp 4K – but it seemed kind of stale after having just done the Iceland experience. I don’t know why that is? Maybe because I’ve been to many of the places highlighted (Iceberg Alley, Toronto, Niagara, Banff, Tofino), and therefore they’re already familiar whereas Iceland was “exotic”? There. That’ll be my excuse! Anyway, the FlyOver Canada experience is engaging and does what it’s designed to do: Celebrate this wonderful country while concomitantly encouraging you to explore more of it; though, in my case, I’m more inclined to visit Iceland now!

We had a quick trip to Vancouver for an appointment so we made a day of it. My kids said that of all we did that day, that FlyOver Canada was their favorite!

When we have guests from out of town we always take them to enjoy the Flyover Canada show. We just made it for the last feature of the fly over Iceland. Highly recommend it next time it’s featured.

So well done!! Felt like you were on a REAL flight over many parts of Canada. Even had a mist when you went over Niagra Falls and the smells of the forest as we flew over Ontario and B.C. We could have done this again and again.

Went here with a friend - experience was ok. It's a pretty fun time for a 25 minute "experience" but they completely skip over my two favourite cities Regina and Winnipeg. It seemed like flyover Canada went from Calgary to Toronto. The parkour video in the intro lobby isn't the greatest and really not sure how this fits into the attraction. You see this attraction once - you don't need to come back. Pay the student price on the internet for $20 - they don't check IDs (you'll thank me for saving you money)
