We spent the entire day here, basically. We walked to Stanley Park along the sea wall, then walked back to the ferry to Granville Island, ate there, ferried back to Lam Park, then continued walking to the casino. Then through Yaletown, stopped for a beer,...More

You cannot say you have been to Vancouver if you have not done the seawall! Note that it is very long, and easily assessable by foot, but preferably by bike. If you do the whole seawall you will pass through all the main little areas...More

Unique space. Consider taking the free walking tour (see separate review) to appreciate the history. Very walkable.

Wonderful stroll along harbor. Pick up wherever you can and go for as long as you like. Nicely constructed and great for people watching.

If the weather is fine, a walk, blade or cycle around the sea wall is a lovely way to spend an afternoon. The path is paved and mostly smooth and is about 10km all the way around. Make sure you stay on the right side...More

We rented electric bikes (see review of Ezee Riders) and biked along the seawall with a stop in Stanley Park to see the totem poles. As we were riding, we kept a lookout for wildlife in the ocean and we were rewarded. We saw a...More

Stanley Park is certainly one of the jewels of Vancouver that crown the city as one of the most liveable city in the world! It's huge, so full of life. The Seawall is so long and it offers many different experience in every corner.

We walked up and down several times. I would still go again! So much to see and do. Goes by parks, beaches and restaurants. One of my favorites

We had a wonderful walk through all the wonderful rhododendrons that were in bloom. Marvelous colours and everything tenderly cared for by friendly gardeners. Great views of the water as one strolls along. Empire trees in bloom as well. Many friendly Canadians to say hello...More

My wife and I will be in Vancouver for one day in July and want to see some of the sites such as Stanley Park, Capilano Bridge, and the Vancouver Seawall. I'm fairly certain we won't have time to hike the entire seawall. Can you suggest a scenic section of 7 kilometers or less?

We stayed at the Pinnacle Hotel in town the night before our cruise. I got up and walked/ ran the seawall at 6 am, did about 7 miles round trip, loved every minute! So beautiful and peaceful. If you are staying in town you... More

November is not a great time in Vancouver. It rains a lot. I would suggest 2 Pacific Northwest galleries/museums. The Bill Read gallery on Hornby Street and the museum of Anthropology at UBC. Also wander through the... More
I have an 11 hour layover in Vancouver on July 15. Any suggestions as to what to do to pass the time? I assume I would have to get a taxi or bus at the airport.

Hmmm rather depends on your budget and preferences. Stanley Park and the Seawall would be a great option if you want to be close to the downtown core. You really need to get away from the airport though. I assume you are... More
