The Aquabus was very easy to locate and easy to use. You can use the Aquabus to get you to and from Granville Island but we opted for the all day $15 pass. We went to every stop and checked things out. But I definitely recommend using the Aquabus.

Having walked from our hotel to Davie Village and across the bridge to Granville Island we were extremely tired and hot and decided that we would ease our tired feet and take the aquabus. It is great for getting across the water and we caught it from Granville Island across to David Lam Park. It was so easy, wait for... More

Walking all the was to Granville Island takes a fairly circuitous route. Walking down to the bottom of Hornby St and taking the Aquabus ferry makes the Island much more accessible.

On a beautiful Sunday we set out to explore the city and caught the Aquabus stop conveniently located just two blocks from our hotel near the arena. For $10CD each we got round trip tickets to ride along the scenic waterway to spend a few hours eating and shopping at Danville Island. The boats are plentiful and constantly running so... More

We took it to Granville Island which is a short ride. It was fun to kind of get out and see the harbo(u)r. Taxis ran quickly and regularly.

we used this very affordable service to visit Granville Island a couple of time whilst staying in Vancouver.and on one of our trips the ferry had just left the pontoon when we went to get it but as it was raining they turned around and came back for us.a very thoughtful gesture for which we thank them

Gotta take the Aquabus if you are a tourist in Vancouver. We took the water taxi from Yaletown to Granville Island and then back to Hornby, to walk back to our hotel. You should also do the Seabus to North Vancouver!

This was a novel way to get across the bay, but well worth the trip. Seating for at least 12+ it gave a waterline view of the shoreline.

Staying in Granville Island & Fairview

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Island & Fairview
One of the favoured neighbourhoods for a day out, Granville Island's packed theatres and art studios, hobby shops and book stores, restaurants and bars, all offer a plethora of activities and entertainment options, leaving no one bored. The highlight of the area is the Fisherman's Wharf, where the seagulls overhead and the smell of the sea invigorate its many visitors, some of who are there to shop the fresh wares at the public market, and others of whom have arrived to take in the eclectic atmosphere. A popular seafood destination, and Vancouver's leading spot for improv and amateur theatre, Granville Island is an indulgent, welcoming entertainment centre in any season or time of day.
