This shopping mall is connected with the skytrain which takes you up into this iconic street. Granville traffic is limited to buses and people walking, it's nice for a change. This street connects you to many of the other shopping areas.

This is another old street in Vancouver. Various sections offer different sights and sounds. There are restaurants, shops, fast food places, buskers, street peddlars, and unfortunately homeless people sleeping on the sidewalks. Garbage was left in many places along the street. Not impressive.

All kind of really fresh food, fruits, cheese, sausages, lobster, fresh fish, bread and pastries in the nicest market place in Vancouver. Not only for tourists and a sightseeing stop its for the daily needs of the inhabitants. Also galleries and other shops are a worth visit. Recommend.

Stopped off here during a rainy Saturday afternoon. Shops sell a variety of different things and prices range from reasonable to expensive depending on what you want to buy.

Granville mall is a business section between West Hastings and Smithe. It is a busy pedestrian corridor with lots of shops and where only public transit is allowed (no cars.) I like this strip for shopping . The stores range from franchises to trendy one-of-a-kind. I’m not much for the night life but there are a number of bars, dance... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
