Fascinating form of art and the stories portrayed

A tour of Stanley Park would not be complete without a visit to the Totem Poles carved by the First Nation Indians - fascinating as a form of art and for the stories they portray.

Whichever season it is, a tour through Stanley Park and visit to the Totem display is good for the spirit. On numerous visits to this part of the park I have seen the reaction by young and old. When they first behold these great works of art many kids run up and touch them, seniors stop and read the plaques... More

The poles are great to see but difficult to find and not much there once you find them. There is a gift shop by them as well but not sure it's worth the journey unless you also want to see the park.

- Interesting place to visit inside Stanley Park. - Toten poles of the ancient indian tribes from Canada. - The Stanley Park is a nice place to visit but walking is a long distance for kids and people with special needs.

It is nice to see the collection of the totem poles in Stanley Park. Some of the totem poles were carved back in the 1880s but the ones on display are now replicas.

This corner of Stanley Park has a great collection of totems, which I believe are mainly from the Haida nation. They include modern reproductions of totems found around Vancouver

On a nice day in Vancouver or even a bad day you will not be disappointed with any part of Stanley Park. It is a 365 day attraction.

We visited the park, walked the trails and saw the totems. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed being outside and the views.

Drove by the totem pole in Stanley Park on Hop-on tour which goes into the park. Reminder of the coastal native community that was here before Vancouver.

Stanley Park and all the aspects and attractions within the park are well worth seeing. You can pick a certain area for a quick trip or spend all day exploring the park. It is indeed a treasure within Vancouver.

Neighbourhood Profile
Stanley Park
Stanley Park is Vancouver's premier spot to get up close and personal with nature and animals. The grassy expanse offers outdoor teahouses and stunning views, beachfront hideaways and splash parks. It is a typical getaway spot for friends and families, especially as it is home to Vancouver's aquarium, and some of its best equestrian outlets.
