This gallery is small compared to others however it is worth a visit to understand the history of Bill Reid and his journey of (re)discovering his heritage. His works are beautiful and relevant. In later years he shared his skills with younger artists and encouraged them to pursue their craft. What I like about his story is his discovery of his art and skills and the willingness to promote his art and heritage to others using his strong voice and his connections through his other art, broadcasting, becoming a voice for Indigenous peoples, art and heritage. Due to Covid restrictions, we were able to book our tickets online and there were very few people in the gallery which afforded us to take our time, backtrack when needed and revisit exhibits. The staff were wonderful and knowledgeable, the facility is people friendly, clean and well organized. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would encourage other visitors to spend some time here. If you are looking for information on Indigenous Art, history there is no better example then this exhibit Bonus, there is parking available at the facility (which we didn't realize at the time) and is reasonably priced. The gift shop is well stocked and price ranges for anyone looking for a piece of history to take home. Thank you.

Beautiful works in many different forms, gold jewelry, wood carvings, stone, paintings. Also had drummers and singers perform in studio while assisting guests to make dream catchers.

You will leave this gallery with a new level of appreciation for Bill Reid's artistry and Northwest Coast Indian Art in general. The design of the gallery is excellent and both the permanent and temporary exhibits are well presented. A place of the heart.
