A very long and sandy beach, Chesterman is a wonderful place to let the dogs run and chase a tennis ball, a stick or each other. It seems half the people walking on the beach either have dogs or young children or both. Regardless of the weather (if properly dressed) it is a delight.

Chesterman,s Beach is one of the best beaches for a stroll , where you can find sand dollars amongst the drift wood and sea weed ,with a sand bar that reaches out to Frank Island , and if it is a stormy day there is a blow hole on the north west side of Frank Island where the sea rushes... More

We stayed at Beach Break which is on Chesterman Beach and we were fortunate to see the beach evolving as the weather changed. There was a lot of activity with people walking their dogs, jogging, and enjoying the scenery and walks to Frank Island. The beach is hard packed sand and is dry all of the way to Frank Island... Beautiful Beach. Visit the Wickininnish In nearby. Chesterman Beach is beautiful as is Long Beach which is a little drive south. We suggest visiting both when in Tofino.

My husband and I took our dog to Chesterman Beach on a rainy November day. It was storm season so it was very rainy, but there were still lots of people walking about. There were huge waves so there were a few brave surfers to watch. There were lots of people with off leash dogs, but no problems arose. There... More

We had the good fortune to have rented a little house right on Chesterman Beach and thus was able to see the beach over a period of four days at all different times of the day including glorious sunsets. This is a great beach for walking and surfing. It is VERY scenic and the weathered logs that wash ashore are... More
