Rainforest Trail has two routes, A & B, both of which fully engulf you in the temperate rainforest full of gigantic western red cedars and western hemlocks. Sparking a sensation of zen, you will be overcome with the nostalgia of your childhood memories, ready to make more. Scan the upper canopy for birds, listen to the trickle of water and smell the life of this highly productive forest. Trail A is located on the opposite side of the highway from the parking lot. Trail B starts from the parking lot.

Two short 1k walks each side of the highway make up these two rainforest walks. Not lengthy, but a couple of walks not to be missed. The nature and boardwalks are just sensational. This is a must do.

This was a super quiet hike, deep into the woods. It is entirely on boardwalk (at least route B is). Route b starts with a non-impressive new forest area before going into the old ancient area. Lots of trees have fallen and lots of huge...More

This is a beautiful trail. The cedar trees are absolutely enormous- it would take 5 people to wrap your arms around one. The trail is a boardwalk loop through the mystical forest. It is an easy, but beautiful walk and a must if you visit...More

Short interpretive trail. Easily doable for almost anyone. Beautiful rainforest with quite some birds not shy to have themselves heard.

This was a lovely surprise we discovered while in Tofino. It was a wonderfully maintained trail, and a beautiful rainforest to explore and photograph on either side of the boardwalk. We would definitely go again to experience the tranquility of this trail once again.

The trail on the west side of the road is almost all boardwalk and stairs, and, in this climate with the steep slope of the land here, I am in awe of the trail crews that built and now maintain all this wooden structure. The...More

How do you find The Rainforest Trail as it doesn't appear on the website. How does one get there from Tofino?

It's a short drive from Tofino, towards Uqleut. If you go to the visitors centre you can pick up a free map and all locals should be aware of it.
