Thoroughly enjoyed biking this trail. Amazing work to reconstruct and maintain a wonder example of railroad history. The last part of the road is forestry road and not in great condition with washboard and potholes but we took it slow. We rented bikes at the...More

Myra Canyon Trestles is about a30 minute drive from downtown Kelowna. The last 15 is gravel, there is a fair bit of pot holes but is still ok for smaller cars, it just might take you a bit longer. You can walk or ride your...More

Myra canyon has become a tradition in our family. It is the best way to spend a family outing when it is not too hot or too cold. All you need is your bike, some water and a picnic and you are set.

We rented bikes for this and found them useful to cover the terrain, especially the day after running the Okanagan Marathon. Although a bit misty/foggy, the views were stunning.

If you are on bikes access from the Little White FSR side! A bit longer ride but not as crowded and parking not an issue.

Outside Kelowna, the Myra Canyon Trail takes you through mountainous passes, tunnels, and over multiple wooden bridges with trellises, looking out over stunning deep valleys. Trail a remnant of the original rail line from the Okanagan Valley to the West Coast! Beautifully and safely reconstructed...More

I read about this walk in a guide and it was an adventurous drive up the unmade road. We enjoyed walking along the trestles in the beautiful autumn sunshine. We heard a rattle snake and the views were amazing. Bike riders were a nuisance because...More

Excellent activity - easy to ride, flat pat. I do not like heights or bridges but managed to do this bike ride and was really happy that I did. The views are spectacular!

We thoroughly enjoyed an easy "hike" of approximately 5 miles round trip. We didn't walk the entire park, and there were many others both walking and biking. This park offers an interesting historical view of the Kettle Valley Railroad that has been renovated for use...More

We make it a point to travel to bicycle the Myra Canyon Park every September. It is an easy ride and the views are incredible. It gives us an appreciation of the grit and determination of the people who laboured to build this historic railway,...More

Just dress warm and you will enjoy the ride especially if the sun is out. I have done the trestles and headed towards Chute Lake and ended up in a rain storm and we just peddled faster to get back lol! Usually the rain... More

Yes, it is preferable. A road bike might be OK but if you have both definitely take the hybrid. I wouldn’t wake my road bike on the path but then I have a choice.
