Take time to walk around the river front with this park. Check out the monuments which show the high water marks from a couple years. Amazing to think the water was that high. Check out the beaver dam at the base of the railroad bridge.

The park is at the junction of the two rivers and is a lovely spot for a walk through the trees and along the river side. There is plenty of seating and a great view of the north shore and the North Thompson valley. The...More

During lunch breaks we run/walk the path from Riverside Park to the yacht club and back - takes around 40 minutes round trip and there is always dogs to greet at Pioneer park where they are free to swim and play.

The park itself is pretty nice, large grassy area with a parking lot and a beach on it, that allows dogs to be off leash. Can get pretty busy in the summer, and its along the river so you probably won't want to go in...More

Beautiful park to stroll through. Nice beaches for our dog to run around. We don't usually stay very long just because of the crowds that sometimes hang out in this area. Security is very good though and have never had issues.

While Kamloops offers many places to let dogs run off leash, the number of encounters with aggressive dogs is concerning. Being charged by an aggressive dog while on a walk is a problem in Kamloops particularly for families with young children.

Great off leash dog beach and park. Riverside walk/bike trail goes through and a pretty decent boat launch - just watch out for the parking Nazis when the water drops and there is loads of parking at the river. They will ticket you even though...More

This dog park is really the best. Easy access to the water and my dog loves socialising with the other pups! Even those without a dog come here and love the action of dogs running the beach.
