Came for a walk while in town with nothing else to do. It's a nice spot for a morning walk, but in some spots, there was quite a bit of goose poop. (along with angry hissing geese!)

Bower ponds is a very nice outdoor space in Red Deer. It has a great playground for kids in the summer, along with pedalboat rentals. It is a nice casual peaceful walk around the pond. Can't beat skating on the pond and tobogganing in the winter.

Because they are part of the Parks department, you will have to get permission to do this. There is heritage buildings on the site and they may want to keep all things like this away.
