It is certainly well worthwhile to stop by, and pick up some information on the park. The exhibits are also worth viewing. The staff is most helpful.

Stopped in twice for information, maps, hiking guides, and Mt. Edith Cavell Passes ... always had plenty of attendants to assist you

Lots of info about Jasper NP here as well as a super gift shop with lots of souvenirs. The building is in the center of town, you can't miss it. Was very crowded when we were there.

The information centre in the middle of Jasper is what it is: an information centre. It also hosts a little gift shop of the "Friends of Jasper", where you can buy maps and all kinds of souvenirs. THe rustic building is definetly worth a visit....More

We prepaid months in advance. The day we had reserved for this was steady rain and low cloud. The video feed they have showed zero visibility. We decided not to go and got a full hassle free refund. For that reason I give full marks

maligne canyon is about 15 to 20 mins from jasper, you wont have time to do the entire walk but you could see a lot of the higher portion of the canyon which is still worth the trip. if this does not suit you can easily... More

Anytime they are in rut they will bugle which would be in the Fall months.

You could try Brewsters Tours, Travel Alberta or Tours by Locals websites for ideas and availability in April. Other ideas are skiing at Marmot Basin, ice skating at Pyramid Lake, Ice walk at Maigne Canyon. The Jasper... More
