We went on this trail as early as we could, there wasn't much traffic going up it and the views at the top are so beautiful. The way back down was busier and I can understand why. We treated ourselves to the hot springs at the bottom and it was so lush. It was one of the bigger hot springs... More

Can’t say enough about this rewarding hike – one of the most memorable of our trip. Directions: Take the Yellowhead highway, AB-16, about 24 miles north of Jasper. Turn right onto Miette Hot Springs Rd. and drive about 10 miles to the springs parking lot located on the left just after the resort buildings. It’s about a 40 minute drive.... More

We found the terrain of the walk fairly similar to bald hills but a little steeper. The final top bit is steep and more challenging but worth the amazing view at the top. The weather can change quickly and we had snow up their and it became cold quickly so be prepared, but it didn't settle. Other walkers saw a... More

Nice moderate hike. You can stop below the summit and get great views but most continue on. Hike to the summit is steep with some scree. Take your time and you'll be fine. Leave the flip flops at home and go for a proper boot. Views from the top are great as you see wilderness not any towns at all.... More

My husband and I did this hike at the end of August- both of us really enjoyed it- even though it was pretty cloudy and you couldn't see as much as you could when it was clear. The trail was much steeper than I anticipated, but got used to it about 20 minutes in. Would recommend bringing sunscreen and several... More

Easy hike, I think that everyone can do this hike when they're in ok shape. The view is amazing! I took my sister who never hike up a mountain before and she could do it easily! It's a nice steady incline hike, when you get above the tree line it get a little steeper. Don't forget the to bring mosquito... More

This is my favourite half-day hike in the Canadian Rockies—and I’ve done a lot of them. It’s perfect for determined youngsters, active seniors, and everyone in between. Less experienced hikers may find the climb a bit arduous (the 700 m elevation gain makes it feel at times like a 90-minute stairmaster) but the payoff-to-effort ratio is unsurpassed. As long as...
