serene lake and mountain at Maligne Lake. Not sure if it was worth the $$ for the boat ride. I felt it was overhyped But one of the bucket list to do in Jasper.

Of all the drives we did throughout Banff and Jasper, this was the one that provided us with the most views of animals. Probably a bit of luck but we went early and were rewarded with about 10 different bears including both black bears and...More

We drove on Maligne Lake Road along a creek over a huge limestone karst system whose main river runs underground between Medicine Lake and “disappearing” Maligne Lake. Medicine Lake,“disappears” in the fall when it drains to a flat flood plain to only 3' across and...More

The drive to Maligne Lake takes about 1-hr each way and offers some beautiful scenery. Take your time and stop at the road-side pull-outs for photos and to appreciate the displays. The Lake itself was absolutely stunning, the day we visited. While all of the...More

The beauty of this lake almost seems unreal. We were able to take a boat out to Spirit Island, and the ride was so fun. The boat captain and the guide were very friendly. The stay near Spirit Island was a little short, but it...More

I have no idea as I am not a doctor but I will say the boat tour is 90 minutes and very smooth. They are the only motorized boats on the lake and go slow as not to disturb the canoers.
