This is a free museum on campus with an excellent collection of fossils, well laid out and described. Just down the hall is another museum devoted to rocks and minerals. It is well worth visiting on a cold Edmonton day.

Wish I had the kids with me but it was a great visit to see the collection. Quite a few items to touch too. Don't forget the mineralogy museum just down the hallway.

Not a huge museum but it's free. There are rock museums down the hall as well. Check out both while your there.

Small free museum that is located in the University of Alberta campus. You have to go to the geology building and go down to the basement to see it. It's really interesting to look around. Might be better for 10+ as there's not a lot...More

A few very interesting dinosaur specimens and many excellent and well-explained pre-dino fossils from stromatolites to fish being well represented. No admission charge.
