This is a great little gem to see which represents a piece of Alberta History that is nicely preserved and restored. There are tours on Sundays and Holidays from what I understand. I happened to be there for a work related workshop on the top floor which contains a larger conference room. There is a small historical display on the... More

Interesting for those who enjoy or value Alberta history and heritage. The visit provides the visitor with rich character of historic architecture and construction while learning of important government meetings held here and significant visitors who have been hosted in meetings and dinners here.

I had my wedding here because there is so much greens and flower beds by the government house. There's also a Korean gazebo over looking the river valley below great for sitting and relaxing. Next to the government house is the Royal Alberta Museum which is another popular attraction of the city.

What a super place for a meeting or just a visit to look at a piece of history. Great view of edmonton River Valley and downtown. Great place for a walk and taking pictures. I was luck enough to have a business meeting on the top floor rotunda.

I took my 7yo history buff son on a Sunday morning for a free tour at Government House. It was completely uncrowded and we basically got a free, private tour. The house is beautiful and very interesting, and an added bonus is the gorgeous art collection therein. I really encourage you to go in the Fall, when the River Valley... More
