My son took us on a walking tour of the Park with Sir Winston's Statue presiding over it all. Just stunning as was the City Hall, the Art Gallery and the balanced mix of historic buildings cheek by jowl with some beautiful modern architecture. Edmonton...More

This city center square is very active with lots of fun activities throughout the year including my favorite the "Taste of Edmonton" festival in late July. The biggest disappointment for me is the removal of the grass, (as it is now just a lot of...More

I enjoy coming here whether there is an event or not. During Festival season, its simply the best place to be! There are so many places to walk around, stroll about through downtown, and to visit City Hall. With Edmonton becoming the arts capital, this...More

Near city hall, the Winspear Centre, Law Courts, the Library (if they ever get it finished), and some of the city's ritziest hotels, this Square is quite large, but a bit devoid of features. We're visitors, and have never witnessed an event here, and have...More

This used to be such a nice place when it was grass. I was very disappointed when the city decided to spend tons of money to change this park into a giant cement slab.

We have gone here for a number of functions but it has no atmosphere. The square is one massive slab of concrete - so terribly uninviting for downtown. What's wrong with grass and trees?

Staying in downtown Edmonton this is a great spot to visit you may have events going on or food trucks in the area which are great. This is close to City Hall and Rogers place ALL spots to see in Edmonton when visiting the city.

Like a lot of central city squares, this one depends on what is going on. We were there on an autumn Sunday morning, so there was not a lot to speak of, but the square itself is well designed and nice to look at.

This square is a nice place to take a break from walking the city. It has lots of benches to sit down and nearby cafés offer the corresponding liquids.

Depends on the day and time of day. Phone 311 and ask what events are downtown like festivals. If a festival is on, might be crowded. I think morning would be the best time. Avoid lunchtime - people come out of the... More
