Sometimes the word 'vibrant' is used too much but by gum, this market is vibrant. Full of colour and vigour and friendliness. We managed to fit in THREE visits to this market during our stay because it was so good. There are many, many stalls that let you try their wares, be they fruit wines, nuts or apples. There are... So much to see!! A truly authentic Farmer's Market with the gambit of crafts and artisan goods from fiber arts, musicians playing live, creative organic foods, farm goods, baked goods and produce. You can get your week's worth of fresh locally grown fruits and veggies, and an organic wild or farm meat.. ( bison, elk, lamb, beef, pork, Mennonite Sausages,... More

The Old Strathcona Farmers' Market is a busy and bountiful market. There is a lot of variety from fresh flowers, produce, meat, baked goods all the way to jams and jewelry. Although it was a very busy Saturday morning, the vendors were very hospitable and interested in sharing their stories. I wish we were staying longer and not in a... More

I love this market. The vendors are happy to be there and show it. It's a happy place to go. Every time I have out of town guests, they all want to go back to the Farmer's Market. My fav stalls are the Olive one, the Hutterite one for eggs & honey, and the one that sells organic sausages with... More

In the middle of a big city, it is refreshing to visit a real farmers' market, not one of those so-called deals that have tons of tables full of jewelry cranked out on someone's kitchen table. Real produce. Real food. Real everything. Nice to have buskers brightening up the hall. They were good, as were all the merchants we spoke... More

The market is vibrant and lots of different vendors and things to see. Be there early as the supply is limited. Great gift ideas, gifts for yourself and plenty of fruits and vegetables and meal ideas. Lots of free samples to try it before you buy it. Love coming here - a family tradition !

Fun Saturday outing. Lots of beautiful fresh produce, even for winter with lots of samples. Almost anything edible plus crafts and wandering musicians make for an enjoyable time. Make sure to use the FREE parking lot, not the others nearby.

Nice place to get some fresh local food and produce. There's a few places that make some amazing salsa the volcano salsa will certainly test your taste buds. It's definitely a nice place to kill a few hours on a Saturday morning, and of course there's free parking across the road.

We love the Old Strathcona Farmers Market, and come at least once a month. The vendors are great, a bit expensive, but worth it for the fresh produce, meats, and cheeses. You have to get there nice and early to get your hands on the fantastic Moonshine Donuts! Also recommend grabbing a coffee or some breakfast at Toast! The food... More

This is among the best markets I have visited. It runs all year so it is a reliable source of fresh, locally grown produce. There are also numerous crafts and other tasty treats- overall a good variety of vendors. It's very busy on Saturdays- often the good stuff is sold out by the afternoon. Because it's busy, parking can be... More
