Having recently reopened after the flood, the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary is hard to beat. An easy walk around the park on the gravel/dirt trail, you can encounter deer and many species of birds. It is a wonderful, informative family activity or solo.

I enjoy walking around the bird sanctuary very much, on a lucky day you may get to see owls. I went on a public tour which was excellent. I have also attended the inglewood bird sanctuary school program with my grandchildren, which was excellent.

I have only discovered the beauty and wonder of this sanctuary recently although it's been here for many years. So far this year I have seen, heard and photographed white tail deer, mule deer, muskrat, beaver, geese (with a nursery full of goslings - 19...More

The sanctuary isn't that big, but it is a lovely place. The circuit is not too big. We saw a few birds and deer. Didn't meet the beavers in person but there are plenty of signs that they are there: the bitten stumps, the dams....More

So long as there are no noisy people about it is lovely to walk round the footpaths, pause and listen to the different sounds and then look for that particular bird or the deer hiding in the trees. Nice informative visitor centre

We did not know what to expect. This is a VERY nice place near town and just off the Bow River for a nature walk. For a neighborhood park, it is outstanding. Perhaps the birds were not out this day since rain was approaching.

This is a true Calgary treasure. A must for families and children. Although, adults will love it too.

The inglewood Bird sanctuary is a nice walk if you're looking to kill an a few hours. It's in ruff shape due to the flooding that happened in 2015. Parts of the pathways are still closed for repairs and the paths you can walk on,...More

Nice free thing to do on a nice day. You can walk right to the river, the kids can throw rocks. There were deer just hanging out when we were there, and of course a lot of birds.

Jay is right. This is from the City of Calgary site: The Inglewood Bird Sanctuary was greatly impacted by the June 2013 flood. A large amount of manmade debris was left behind and many of the sanctuary’s trails were severely... More
