Every city has a major sports and entertainment center and Calgary's is the Saddledome. Most of us know it has the home ice of the Calgary Flames, but it is also the home for other sports franchises and as an entertainment center.

Not many bad seats unless you're shoved in a back corner, decently clean up until the end of the event of course, staff is pretty helpful. We saw the red hot chilli peppers and the only complaint is how hot it gets in there during...More

Was at the Saddledome earlier tonight for the Tesla/Poison/Def Leppard concert. In my opinion it's a great venue although I know this isn't the opinion of many. Lots of food and drink choices on the main concourse. Took the LRT. Very convenient.

I've only attended for NHL hockey games and a few concerts. If you can avoid parking on-site - do so - as it is just as pricey as parking downtown. The C-Train stops nearby the venue, but can gets insanely crowded if you leave with...More

I love classic old arenas and stadiums. They're usually quirky, have real character and great stories. The Saddledome is no exception having hosted the 1988 Winter Olympics and some great hockey history including the Flames winning the 1989 Stanley Cup. But compared to newer arenas...More

The saddledome has for sure done Calgary proud. Great Sports there. Great concerts and the Stampede surrounded once a year. Check it out if your in Calgary.

So Edmonton got a new arena and now its the Rogers' Place envy to get a taxpayer funded new venue in Calgary. Sure it suffered with the big flood, but she's a great venue still. Easy close parking for all events but for a slight...More

Went here to watch the visiting Canucks (and to cheer them ) against the Flames. Great Atmosphere, good sightlines from our seats, tickets were not terribly expensive . Calgary fans sure passionate about their team , only adds to the atmosphere. The beer and wine...More

The last few regular season Calgary Flames hockey 🏒 games and the playoffs if they make it. The lacrosse team also may have games. Check ticket master or stub hub for concerts

Hi, I am going to see Sting and Peter Gabriel on Saturday night and there are 2 tickets in section 107, Row 12. You mentioned that you sat in that section for Leonard Cohen but singers were between you and the singer. I know that Sting and Gabriel have no backup singers, so do you think it will be a problem? I'm hoping that they have a large screen on the other side as well.

Hi, it was James Taylor I went to see and there were two large screens on either side of the stage. If you check the seating map it should be helpful also. Enjoy the show!

Along McLeod Trail SW there are some motels, they are a short distance to Stampede Park, where the Saddledome is, hope this helps!
