There are flush toilets and a coffee shop at Edworthy walk. We walked along the river to Eau Claire Market, crossed the river on a pedestrian bridge and walked back to the park to retrieve our vehicle in the free parking lot. There bike trails are available along the same route.

Situated near the Bow River, this park offers lots of great picnicking options, an outdoor cafe and a beautiful wilderness hiking trail right in the middle of the city, a must do!

This is one of the largest green spaces that is very close to the city centre. Regardless of season, families need to be careful in that there is an active train line in the park, and the Bow River, however beautiful, can be a serious hazard. The ice on the banks may appear thick, but nobody should venture on to... More

As a family we booked part of park for family picnic. The younger kids had fun. Wonderful and relaxing day.

Unbelievable solitude in the heart of a city of over a million. Surrounded by natural wonders of old stand Douglas Firs, little springs, lush native plants. The pathways provide beautiful views of the Bow River and spans of stairs for fitness challenges winding your way up the south cliff of the Bow Valley.

I've lived near Edworthy Park for almost 30 years. Nice park, and the Douglas Fir Trail is a very nice urban trail through large...Douglas Firs. But, the trail is now closed (for the first time in my experience) indefinitely while they do a study on how to stabilize the slope. No idea when it will re-open.

Convenient parking on both sides of the Bow River. The paved walks extend as for as you want to go (Calgary has the most amazing walkway network) Don't forget to stop in at the little cafe next to the bridge~great ice cream, amongst other things. YumYum!

Overall I was quite surprised that you could find such a shaded tree covered trail in the heart of Calgary. Being from out of town, I wouldn't make the special trip to the park again but it's a good place to go for a long walk if you're in the area
