With the flood of 2013 in Calgary, there has been quite a few changes to the surrounding river culture. I loved most of the changes that Bowness park has made...less parking was not one of them. Its still a nice park to visit and play,...More

Bowness has been beautifully rebuilt since the 2012 flood destroyed the park. Great place for picnics, BBQ's, river rafting, cycling and walking.

Nice clean park with lots of things to do. Can get busy on a nice weekend so make sure you are there early if you want a picnic spot with a fire pit. Great trails, beautiful along the river

The park has stunning views and nice parking facility. The river flows through the park and kids really enjoyed it. We were 3 families with 4 little ones with ages 1 to 5 and everyone enjoyed a lot. Must visit place.

Haven't visited Bowness Park for years but rediscovered it today and really enjoyed our walk. Had great coffee and pastries by the lagoon. We will return regularly.

Not only is the boat rental not open yet, but as the beginning got July the Cafe is still closed. It has been rebuilt and according to The City website is expected to be open sometime this summer.
