I was on an errand downtown, and was near the Bow skyscraper. You can see this fantastic art work for miles, and it is almost irresistible to explore. If you're within miles of the Bow building, do make a point of checking it out, from every angle, inside and out, bring the kids, you won't be disappointed.

Every place should attempt at getting a vibrant art scene. Calgary attempted at that here. Failed miserably

We happened across this sculpture by accident, and as it came into view around the corner it was just stunning. Because of its mesh construction, it seems to be only partially there, and as you move round it its aspect changes, and it feels as though it is phasing in and out of place. We didn't go inside, but stopped and admired it for a while. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit it, but it's close to a lot of places in downtown, and worth a 5-10 minute walk. Its is a nice place to sit and take a break from walking around, if you need one.

Calgary is an amazing city for its outdoor art and sculpture, the Wonderland Sculpture is a perfect example which looks even more magical lit-up at night! We actually visited in April 2019 and would recommend this beautiful city as a must see on a trip to Canada, especially with its close proximity to Alberta's Rocky Mountains.

Not necessarily worth going out of your way for, but if you're nearby, you can admire both the Bow building and this sculpture at the same time.
