For a great view of the Bow River take a stroll across the Hextall Bridge. In late February and early March it is a wonderful place to watch the ice as it cracks up and floats down the river.

Without this restored antique bridge, pedestrians and cyclists on the Bow River Pathway wouldn't have a unique experience crossing the river here. It also seems pretty vital for local residents going back and forth. It's very well done, offering a good route for cyclists and joggers, as well as benches for those who just want to stay while and enjoy... More

Glad this survived the flood, I remember this being a bridge for traffic and hate way into Bowness, I was watched the new bridge being built and then convert this bridge into park of the pathway system. Good job on the upkeep.

I wasn’t expecting much from the Hextall Bridge. I knew it was a century old. I also knew that it was a fairly standard box girder bridge.
