This plaza, in the downtown, is very beautiful. It was built for the 1988 Winter Olympic Games, but has its own identity now. We went in the winter, and my daughters spend a nice time skiing in the plaza, while we were enjoying the view of the surroundings.

Great place to spend a few hours skating, there is a rental desk for skates if you don't have your own. The only problem is when it starts to get dark there is a lot of undesirables hang round the area.

I was in town for business meetings and got to take advantage of some chinook winds and warmer than normal weather. Walked through the plaza and enjoyed all of the people and activity. Not much in terms of "to do" but enjoyable being outside and seeing so many people mid week. I have also been in the plaza in the... More

Beautiful place to skate and enjoy the city but we visited on New Years' day and the rink was not cleaned. It made it very hard to skate as the rink had a think layer of snow. They did clear everyone off the ice for about 20 mins for a quick cleaning but it didn't do much to improve the... More

Olympic plaza is a great place to feel and see some of the Christmas spirit. The ice skating rink surrounded by Christmas lights and the Calgary tower in the back is perfect. They offer rentals for $12 and sharpening if you need for your own skates. They shovel in a snowy day.

This plaza is nothing but outside. If it's raining, you can't go here. I would appreciate it if they put a roof over this plaza.

It is fun to go down and spent time watching the skaters at this time of year. There is plenty of space to sit and relax.

Too bad, but any time I pass this area it appears to be a place to avoid. This Central Park could be lovely for a walk, but I have always walked around it.

It is a beautiful plaza built for the 1988 Olympic Winter Games. Located downtown, you can see workers relaxing there during lunch time or by the end of the day. It has nice feminist sculptures. If you are walking on Stephen Ave, it is worth passing by.
