This charming pedestrian street at the heart of downtown Calgary is lined with lots of shops and restaurants. It is your one-stop place for shopping and eating and is conveniently accessed by the C-train. The place is lively and fun even in winter!

Stephen Ave is full of history and we went during the day and it had a covering of light snow. We went again at night and all the Xmas and street lights were on

This pedestrian mall has much to attract you. Interesting shopping, imitate little pubs, free entertainment, & art, it's all there if you take the time to explore.

A great place to walk through and see what is happening in the crowds. It is pretty, decorated with hanging baskets. There are loads of eateries in Stephen's Ave where you can eat inside or enjoy the atmosphere of people having a good time.

Steven Ave is great in the evening with the pubs, restaurants, lights . It's even better at lunch because it is downtown and people are out walking and dining. In the summer there are performances, buskers, etc. It's a good place to lunch and visit.

My husband and I were Calgary in October and although the weather was good (for Calgary) I found Stephen Avenue very quiet and subdued. I understand at Christmas it is beautifully lit and in the summer the baskets of flowers are out, but the shopping...More

We toured Stephen Ave in the fall so I suppose we didn't visit at the best time. 90% of the shops are chain stores which can be found in any Canadian mall. I was hoping to see more boutiques. I enjoyed the abundance of sculptures...More

I did not use a master card so I don't know. They probably do but I'd want to make sure as well before travelling that long distance with a pre-paid Master Card and find out that I couldn't. The Calgary Downtown... More

Yeah, there is abundant parking downtown, very close to Stephen Ave. esp. on weekends; even affordable parking on weekdays with the economic downturn. Pretty much everything you need to know is found if you google search... More
