You may be on holiday and want to sleep in but getting up early to go to Lake Moraine is definitely worth it (and you can still drive up to the lake rather than having to take the shuttle bus). The views are spectacular and...More

Moraine lake is simply stunning. You really have to visit. The road was closed by 7.30am when we came but we decided to bite the bullet and use the transit bus from the Lake Louise overflow lot and it was worth the 45 minute wait....More

We were absolutely gobsmacked by this lake. I have never seen anything so beautiful. It's worth the easy hike to the end of the lake, also to go up on top of the moraine right to the left of the parking lot, as well at...More

What a beautiful place to visit, although I wouldn't recommend a sunny Sunday!!!! We arrived around 10.30am, and the road was already closed because the parking lot was full. We were advised the best time to come back was around 4.30 - 5pm, so we...More

The drive to Moraine is longer than we expected, once off the main highway, but it is so worth it! Such a beautiful lake! And my kids (16-9) loved climbing the rock pile. I am sure the parking lot is adequate when Canada isn't celebrating...More

It's a breathtaking scenery, only about 20 minutes drive from Lake Louise. It's a must go place! If you have the chance, pick a sunny day, so the water will be more turquoise.

You could spin arouned and snap your camera where you land and get the most breathtaking picture! It is a stunning place! I am so glad that someone told me to be sure to get here while we were at Lake Louise.

This place is stunning...but the road to it gets busy, even in quieter seasons. We went there quite late in the day. I'd suggest to go late or better still early! It's a stunning place. There's a shuttle bus that runs from Lake Louise.

It was a fabulous October day and we arrived just before the weather was due to break in a couple of hours. The lake, surrounded by the 10 jagged peaks simply took my breath away.

This is a beautiful, wonderful lake, overshadowed by its bigger sister, Lake Louise just up the hill. This is a hidden gem which recently attracts more tourist - to the point where it is getting difficult to park...

If the children are obedient and over 10 years old, I would take them up the rock pile, but if they are younger, I would have them on reins. The path is treacherous and you could break and ankle (or something worse) if you... More

Did not see any cruises on Lake Moraine. A canoe might be more practical as its a fairly small lake compared to Lake Louise for example.

In all likelihood you are confusing the two 'M' lakes, Moraine & Maligne (near Jasper), or possibly a third 'M' lake, Minnewanka (nearer to the town of Bannf). Minnewanka & Maligne both have cruises, but Moraine does not... More
