This is one of the highlights of the Canadian Rockies, an absolute must-see. Go early to get parked and walk around the different viewpoints while waiting for the sun to get higher and really light things up. The turquoise blue water and spectacular mountain backdrop...More

Don't miss visiting Moraine Lake. Breathtaking views and stunning scenery. Great drive up to the lake with stunning views along the way. In the summer, bring a lunch to have by the lake.

Moraine Lake is simply stunning. The colors, the mountains, the water, the tress- every bit is glorious. Get there early to avoid the crazy crowds and go to the Rockplie for the best photo opportunities.

Simply one thing to say - Breathtaking. Go and see it yourself. Tip- We were told the road closes unless you go at 7am. We drove past at 4pm and it was open and less busy, we got parked without any issue.

We started out hiking around to the other end of the lake. Key thing is to get there early! Less crowded. We also did the Consolation Trail hike with a couple we met from Canada. This was one of our favorite hikes of the whole...More

It's not a difficult hike but the ground is very stoney and uneven. Personally I would go for the walk alongside the lake for the safety of your children and peace of mind.

The bus tour would be so much better as you are given all the information you would need about the area when on a tour and you can just sit back and enjoy the fantastic views without the hassle of parking up.

In all likelihood you are confusing the two 'M' lakes, Moraine & Maligne (near Jasper), or possibly a third 'M' lake, Minnewanka (nearer to the town of Bannf). Minnewanka & Maligne both have cruises, but Moraine does not... More
