Well worth the visit. As with all of the lakes in the area, it's incredible. The hike to the overlook is a must do and will not disappoint.

Parked at Peyto Lake and hiked Bow Summit Trail, the lake view from the trails is spectacular. Highly recommend the Bow Summit hike, leads to spectacular views along the Icefields Parkway, saw gyrfalcon, pikas, marmot.

I believe that access to the viwpoint is open as long as the road is open. The best way to check if the road to Bow summit is open would probably be on Alberta 511
