Beautiful place to have a picnic and enjoy the breathtaking views. Give yourself enough time to take in its splendor. Best times to visit are early morning or late afternoon.

Driving the Icefields Parkway, allow yourself more time than you think because you will be stopping many times at the turnouts and viewpoints because the scenery is mind-bogglingly beautiful.

This is one of the most amazing vistas you will ever experience. The color of a lake is the result of glacial snow melt and deposits. The surrounding mountains are colossal as you will realize as you see how much mountain is above the tree...More

In early June, I surely did not expect the presence of snow at this lake, so was not exactly prepared, dress wise. What I thought would be a 15 minutes trek, turned out to be a trek for about half hour (1/2 hour) instead. But,...More

Very busy, the hike from the parking lot had steep sections, but was do-able. I am in my 50s and had no issues. Water colour was even more breathtaking than Moraine Lake! Well worth the drive

Yes, the view literally took my breath away. And that had nothing to do with the little bit of a steep hike to the viewpoint. It is a bit strenuous but worth it. If I can do it, you can too! There was still snow...More

What a view ! Absolutely stunning, one of the most beautiful lake. Truly mesmerizing ! The lake is 15-20 minute easy walk away from the parking, still covered in snow(June 2017), somewhere steep and slippery but easily walk-able. Once we reached the view point, the...More

a fairly easy 20 minute walk from the parking lot to this beautiful view! Breathtaking Vista. Walk Does get a little steep, and you are at altitude so take it easy. But worth it!

the path up to Peyto Lake was still under snow, which made it more the fun to reach the viewing platform, When we got there it was spectacular, still slightly frozen, but really beautiful.

When you get to the main look out from the regular parking lot (not the wheelchair accessible one) turn left and follow the trail. After a few minutes you will see a blue sign post. (You will have passed some of these on... More
