Bow Falls trail was a fairly short, easy hike with a huge reward at the end. There were some steps, but mostly flat walking. View of lake and Fairmont Banff Springs hotel at end.

Highly recommend you check our Bow Falls while visiting Banff. There are separate trails for pedestrians & cyclists that meander along the south shore of the Bow River and past roaring rapids. You can climb stairs up above the Bow Falls. The path from Bow...More

Visit by all means, but be aware that you can't move for foreign tourists. It is on the main coach route for tourists.

The falls are not spectacular but they are in a pretty area. We were able to walk here from our motel and it was a nice scenic walk.

Nice recreation area, good information boards. Didn't spend much time there as we were with a tour group, but it looked like a very family friendly place. The lake was beautiful and the falls were nice.

Lovely, long waterfall. The paved trail beside was appreciated. Free, family friendly. Street parking is an option but rarely available. Location is right beside the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel.

The paths are almost all paved and with built in steps so not steep at all but you need to be okay with stairs. About a 3 minute drive to the parking lot from centre of town.
