Our all-day on-road bicycle tour started and ended on Tunnel Mountain Drive. The descent into town in the morning and ascent back up to the campground road were two fun parts of a very enjoyable day.

Fantastic little hike. I am sure most people could make this hike. If your a little out of shape, just take it slow and I don't think it would be an issue to get to the top. Another fantastic view easy to access. You see...More

We did the north part of it to the hotels but the rest was already closed I assume for the season. Check before going!

A nice little drive with some great areas to pull over and enjoy the view-be sure to stop at the hoodoos viewpoint. If you want to hike up tunnel mountain, go early in the summer to get a parking spot!

We went down to look at the Hoodoos and followed the road as far as it went. Was a nice drive with trees on both sides and a couple of spots to stop and take pictures. I'd recommend it.

Lovely, scenic, well-maintained road to take in all the beautiful nature surrounding Banff. We saw mountain goats and deer.

We were a bit disappointed with this drive. It was mostly wooded along the way and we didn't see any wildlife. The road is gravel and there was a lot of dust on the old rental car. If you want another view of Banff, give...More

This shortish drive from Surprise Corner to the Tunnell Mountain Road will take you to a couple of vantage places and walk accesses. Pretty enough to make the time to explore

Or... you can just drive along it slowly. Most of the spots are well marked. The speed limit is fairly low, and most people in Banff are not in a hurry, so taking a slow drive won't aggravate too many. This is a quote... More
