This is a long hike which is quite steep and fairly crowded. This starts off from Lake Louise and getting to lake louise is not easy as parking in summer is hard. The hike takes you to the Lake Agnes Tea house , it is nice but has limited views and can be quite boring. Lake Agnes is nice but... More

Great Hike albeit rated hard if you decide on the Big Beehive Highline Trail to Lake Agnes from the Plain of the 6 Glaciers as we did. Coming that way is quite steep with a multitude of switchbacks. However when at the summit the rewards are the views. (Make sure you walk a few hundred metres to the hut/shelter for... More

Visited in August 2016. Just take your time and don't let the fast walkers discourage you. You'll get there and enjoy the view! If you're wanting something to eat/drink at the tea house, be prepared to wait for a place to sit. It can get very crowded. It is not cheap, either, but it was fun to do once. The... More

My cousin (an advanced hiker from Winnipeg) and I (a novice hiker from Edmonton) really enjoyed ourselves this November! We took the Highline Trail, which is a bit steeper, up to the tea house, which is closed this time of year. Total time up and down was about 3.5 hours. We started at 10:30 am - I would recommend getting... More

The weather was cold with snow on the ground and decided to take the trail from Lake Louise to Lake Agnes. It was a tough 3.5km climb and if you are not used to altitudes was a little hard. A few stops on the way up but eventually you reach the lake and it was really beauty and even in... More

The walk up to Agnes lake is well worth it not only for the amazing views but also for the delightful teahouse next to the lake. The current log cabin is a replica of the original built in 1901 but it still has a quaint charm and on a particularly wet day the steamy interior complete with woodburning stove was... More

Living in Brighton we are used to doing "hills" however the starting altitude here is a little higher and this is what will affect you. The trail is largely made up and zig zags up the side of the mountain through the trees giving glimpses of Lake Louise below. Towards the top erosion has made the path not as straightforward... Busy steep walk to the tea house which was built in the 20's. Great place for a snack or a sandwich. 4 biscuits with jam and a small pot of tea and a glass of lemonade is only $23.00. Yes everything does have to be carried in hence the price. Nice to do the challenge and add the Six Glaciers... More

We walked to Lake Agnes and continued to the small beehive - The view from the top was amazing and the best way to see the lake and surrounding views, our trip wouldn't have been the same if we had just stayed at the bottom. We didn't go to the big beehive as this was a steeper and longer walk... More

The lake is well worth the climb from Lake Louise and is surrounded by fantastic mountains. The tearoom beside the lake is a unique facility.
