We were in Panaca the last year in December. The Park is located in Eje Cafetero Colombia. I visited the Park whit my family.

There we saw many animals as pigs, horses, rabbits. We offered food them and played with them.

Also, we enjoyed in the train that goes through the park. We played in the park. There are many attractions for to enjoy them. Finally, we drank a delicious coffee.

Great place
Aug 2019 • Family
I went with my parents and 3 children aged 3, 7, and 10 years old. It was a beautiful place, full of nature, clean and very well organised. The interaction with the animals was greater than expected. They could milk cows, feed little lambs, horses, rabbits. They could hold them too. The staff were very kind and helpful. Very well trained too. They had a fantastic time. They didn't want to leave! It wasn't cheap but it was worth it. We will come back the next time we visit this area!

Just OK but nothing Great

My family and I are traveling Colombia, and decided to stay the weekend near Armenia, The coffee growing region in Colombia. We wanted a nice experience outdoors and the idea of having my little ones in contact with nature and farm animals seemed perfect and Panaca was promising exactly that!
The road you travel to get there is beautifully green and lovely landscapes. However, it is a narrow two way single lane curvy road so careful driving is needed.

We arrived, parking and organization wise seemed good. Price was COP 70.000 pesos per person (kids free if they are 90 cm or shorter) which today is roughly $23 usd pp.

To summarize, the surroundings, the green areas and the trails are the best part.

You basically pay to see the animals packed in small areas and see different breeds from around the world, and a few interactive shows in Spanish.

It is organized in stations, first is the cows and goats stations... they sell bottles of milk to feed the baby goats and calfs, carrots and some concentrate. (COP 2.000 / or less than a dollar)

You walk to the chicken and bunny areas. Again you can buy carrots and feed them.

Then the pigs area ( my least favorite!!) we stayed there for about 2 minutes.
it seemed inhumane the way the pigs were packed in there. Couldn’t even move!!!
I mean I understand that is probably the space used in the pork processing facilities, but here?? A sort of amusement park for kids and families. They should aim at having them in more comfortable conditions. Plus the smell was HORRIBLE.
Panaca - please change this pronto.

You then move to the cat and dog shows, and last but not least the horses.

The girls enjoyed it, but I strongly feel they would benefit from more kids activities and rides.

Be prepared for a long walk, although if you get tired you can pay for some alternative transportation from station to station.

All and all pretty landscapes and location, good organization, needs improvement and I think there are lots of farms and places around the area that offer interaction with horses, cows and pet animals. Less expensive and perhaps more engaging.

You’ll have to walk a lot
May 2019 • Family
Panaca is great in general. Only downside is that you’ll have to rush from one show to the other if you want to see everything. Which gives you less time to interact with other parts/animals of the park. Shows are nice, but for the little ones not that great I noticed. Adults will enjoy it more. As the title says you’ll have to walk a lot or pay for “taxi” service. Apart from a pretty steep entry price the prices of a drink are really high, and you have to pay for little extras like feeding pigs or cows. In general great park, but be prepared to pay for extras inside the park.

A park where you van see the animals in a jail.
Feb 2019 • Family
Hugh park. Prepare to walk and walk a lot.
What I like: the shows what I dislike: see the animals suffering in jails like the rabbits, pigs, dogs cats, small birds. I expected to see free animals in their own environment, there is enough space for it, not to see the animals suffering in small close places like jails
I’m an animal defender and I really expect something more human not these.
I recommend to open the jails and put the animals with more space ... being free animals ... rabbits chickens peacock.... was horribke

Great place to visit
Feb 2019 • Family
We enjoyed the beautiful setting of the park and visited all the stations where farm animals were to be seen. Everything was very clean, the animals looked healthy and staff were friendly. The distances between the stations are considerable, we liked the exercise, for small kids or people with walking issues it may be too much. We actually arrived quite late, 3.30pm and had to hurry up to get to the exit by 6pm. Could easily have spent 2-3 more hours. Highly recommended

Good for small children
Dec 2018 • Family
We went with 2 toddlers. It was a bit much for them. Long distances to walk up and down hills. Lots of farm animals to see and touch. Shows featuring animals. Cow show OK small animal show a bit pathetic. All in Spanish - even the Colombians couldn’t understand the colloquial jargon. We sat out the pig show and then left. Apparently the dog and the horse shows were good. The aerial walk provided the only short cut between areas. The zip line looked good. Access to food was busy and slow. Too much altogether for the little ones for the whole day.

Very disappointed
Dec 2018 • Friends
The park I visited couple years ago is not there!! The costumer service feeling is gone. All the staff was looking the watch to leave, some of them were rude. I asked for tasting some panelitas and the answer was NO The horses show los 5 continentes was not wath they advertise, it really is for small kids and for them is OK
The cats and dogs areas where a disaster: the signs where not in place, no room for an interactive experience and I am not sure if the dogs were OK
I like to think that the park managers can re shape the staff actitude for the good of the Park which I think it is a great idea: Sin campo no hay ciudad
