We've visited in all seasons and it's always a joyful trip. Simply stunning sunset on our visit last week - with only a handful of people sharing the view. It's always clean, dry and comfortable with the café providing snacks and a place to sit...More

Plenty of beach and cliff to enjoy, complemented by a very good (if very busy) cafe. Lovely walks and views over the coastline. But no shelter from wind or rain.

My sister wanted to revisit this restaurant having enjoyed it on a prior visit. We only stopped for drinks since we had already eaten lunch but the food looked lovely. Loads of really fresh fish! The restaurant looked out onto the beach so lots of...More

Lovely setting for a cafe right on the beach, large range of food and drinks, just take a seat and watch the waves and boats passing by, it is dog friendly and you must take the coastal footpath to freshwater, stunning views and there are...More

A good walk along the beach under towering Jurrasic cliffs which you need to give a wide berth. Starts sand then stones and over some rocks at the end but very doable.

very regularly here, we love that you could spend all day messing in the water, walking the coastal path and picnicking in the huge car park.

This is a great dog-friendly beach. Good parking but National Trust so you have to pay if you're not a member.

Part of the Jurassic Coast and the South West Coast Path this beach offers you miles of walking (on shingle) eastwards towards Weymouth and Portsmouth. You can also walk over the cliffs towards West Bay. Good car parking (National Trust) as well. Tremendous.

It's a £1 per hour and over so many hours and I think over 4-5 hours it becomes cheaper. There is also a National Trust car park (on the left), where if you are a member, you'll be able to park for free.
